Service Description

Officers/employees engaged in providing services

traverse

Traverse is the structure placed in the mouza to

 create a completely new design of a mouza. Then

 a new design of mouza was prepared through

P70 seats. No mouza is traversed in surveying

the old design i.e. blue-print seat

Travers are conducted by a group

 of survey workers headed by a

 surveyor.

Kistwar

At this level, Amindal measures the area of each

block of land and reflects it in the Mauza design by

 drawing a new design completed by the kistwar or

 revising the old design in the blue-print.

Kistwar: This level of work is

 managed by a Deputy Assistant

Settlement Officer (Kanungo).

Khanapuri

Amindal attends each dag plot of land drawn at

 Kistwar level and assigns the dag number of the

 land and verifies the owner's records, deeds and

 possession and records the owner's name, address

 and other information in the khatian (Khanapuri)

. At this level, the landowners are required

to submit evidence of land ownership and

occupation to Amindal.

This level of work is done by

 Amindal under the supervision of

a Deputy Assistant Settlement

Officer (Kanungo).

Meaning land. At this level the khatian or parcha

 prepared by the Amindal is supplied

 (communicated) to the land owner, known as the

 field parcha. The date of distribution of pamphlets

 is communicated through notices/ circulation of

 notices in newspapers/ miking in the area. The land

 owners will check the correctness of the received

 papers and if any corrections or changes are

 necessary, they will submit it to the Amin by filling

 the specified (Dispute) form.

A Sub-Assistant Settlement Officer

 (Kanungo) as a Holka Officer shall

expeditiously settle such disputes

by hearing the parties concerned.

Khanapuri also understood

When a mouza is surveyed on a blue-print sheet by

 means of traverse and kistwar, the above-

mentioned khanapuri and understanding level work

 is carried out simultaneously.

Tasdiq or Estation

Tasdik level work is carried out through extensive

 publicity. Tasdik level work is carried out by a

 kanungo or revenue officer. Every purported

 khatian is verified by verifying all the documents

and proofs related to the ownership of the land.

Even at this level, the land owners can file a dispute

if they feel the need for any correction in the plan

and design and can take the opportunity to correct it

by presenting appropriate evidence.
